It's never that easy. I think he might have the same limited precog Rose does. Seeing moves before you actually start them. [ Bart goes to wrap his own hands, just because split knuckles are not worth the pain when it's mostly friendly sparring. ]

[ He starts in, a couple of simple strikes at first, but as he loosens up, it's clear where hanging out with Tim and the other Titans has had an influence. Bart isn't quite as impulsive as he once was, and goes for blows that require timing and precision to use to incapacitate without lasting harm when the opportunity arises. But unless he uses his speed to widen the gaps between moves, his chances for actually landing anything are pretty much zero, and he won't do that while sparring. ]
